Fraser, Colorado
We are so excited that after a two year engagement, we'll be exchanging our vows under the pine trees at the Wild Horse Inn. The Inn is located 67 miles from Denver and 15 minutes from the town of Winter Park. Its location at the foot of the Continental Divide in the Ranch Creek Valley provides seclusion, spectacular scenery, and many activities including mountain biking, fly fishing, horseback riding, hiking, hot springs and an alpine slide (wheeee!).
Because Wild Horse is about two hours from the Denver International airport and over Berthoud Pass (elev. 11,315), we recommend that people plan to arrive in the mountains on Friday afternoon/evening. Otherwise, you would have a long drive in the morning, and I'm not sure how strong the DIA coffee is. We are investigating options for a group barbecue or dinner on Friday evening. Most hotels that we have listed under the lodging category are within a 10 to 20 minutes drive of Wild Horse.
Our Wedding Weekend Program:

This will be a small and casual wedding, so creative, comfortable attire is welcomed. Our ceremony site is a short walk over level ground in to the woods, but squishy grass as it is, heels aren't recommended

Appetizers and brunch cocktails will be followed by a brunch reception

The Colorado mountains are beautiful in summer– we hope the setting of our wedding will make for a great weekend vacation. We can't wait to see all of you!
